WEIS Engineering Ltd is an irrigation and water engineering company registered as a private limited company under the companies act No.1 (2012) by the Republic of Uganda, Licensed by Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA) under Engineers as nature of business

WEIS (Water Energy and Irrigation solutions), our main name signifies our main area of expertise, Engineering – all our works are based on engineering principles including site data collection (where applicable), establishing design requirement, feasibility analysis, preliminary design including sketch drawings and final design. All our field installations are supervised by our experienced and skilled engineers

Water and irrigation systems feasibility studies

including required quantities of water flow, water distribution systems designs, operation and maintenance, pumping and storage sizing and design, involves collecting topographic data, analyze surveyed data in soft wares like Google Earth, GIS, Auto CAD Civil 3D, generating drawing using AutoCAD and simulation using soft wares like Epanet. Valley tanks

Hydrogeological survey

If your looking at drilling a borehole, we have qualified and experienced hydrogeologists. We make sure our team has enough time on your site so more than three points are sampled and the best selected. Our reports include and not limited to; water demand assessment, Topo and Google Earth map showing point location, existing borehole data analysis, Geology map showing point location, Vertical Electrical Sounding (Ves) data analysis in both tabular and graphic representation (Apparent resistivity Versus Depth), expected well yield in respect to water demand, proposed well design and some information of interest to the client. Borehole drilling and sitting

Pumping test

We use the right machinery during pump and recovery testing so you can fully maximize your borehole. More information here

Hand dug water wells

Because we wish everyone to have access to water, our experienced engineers improved on how manually dug water wells are constructed by help of dowsing rods, analyzing field slopes, studying nearby wells and ditches to mention, we make it client-friendly in terms of cost by you(client ) providing all construction material which may be locally available for example bricks(clay burnt preferred), sand (Lake sand preferred), cement for the construction and iron bars, small access door or pedestal(for water pump installations), wire mesh and binding wires. Including solar panels from Solar World, Yingli and Topray, inverters from Izzy power, Vispra, Sp Handy, Victron and Sunny, Solar pumps from Grundfos, Lorentz and customized solar pumps, solar batteries like Champion

Fittings

Most fittings necessary for complete water, irrigation or solar water system including pipes, dam liners, valves, submersible cables, water meters, etc
